Guajacuran
Guajacuran is used to relieve phlegm expectoration and to relieve skeletal muscle tension, including increased neck muscle tension, in adults, adolescents, and children 6 years of age and older. Active Ingredients: Guaifenesinum
Dosage
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age usually take 1 tablet 3-5 times a day, in exceptional cases 2 tablets. The maximum daily dose is 2400 mg (12 tablets).
Pediatric population: Children aged 6-12 years are given 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
The drug is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age.

Contraindication
Guajacuran is not used for hypersensitivity to guaifenesin or any excipient, myasthenia gravis and myasthenic syndrome.
It is not recommended to use the product during pregnancy and lactation. The product is not suitable for children under 6 years of age. Guajacuran is prescribed for children over 6 years of age only on the recommendation of a doctor.
The effects of Guajacuran and other drugs taken at the same time may interact with each other. These are mainly cold and pain medications containing paracetamol and acetylsalicylic acid, drugs with a depressant effect on the central nervous system, including alcohol, and other drugs that also relieve skeletal muscle tension.

Kontraindikace
Guajacuran se nepoužívá při přecitlivělosti na guaifenesin nebo jakoukoli pomocnou látku, myasthenia gravis a myastenický syndrom.
Nedoporučuje se používat přípravek během těhotenství a kojení. Výrobek není vhodný pro děti do 6 let. Guajacuran se dětem nad 6 let předepisuje pouze na doporučení lékaře.
Účinky Guajacuranu a jiných současně užívaných léků se mohou vzájemně ovlivňovat. Jde především o léky proti nachlazení a bolesti s obsahem paracetamolu a kyseliny acetylsalicylové, léky s tlumivým účinkem na centrální nervový systém včetně alkoholu a další léky uvolňující i napětí kosterního svalstva.
