Sédorrhoïde hemorrhoidal crisis in suppositories is a drug from Cooper laboratories. It is both anti-inflammatory (enoxolone) and local anesthetic (benzocaine), antiseptic (dodeclonium bromide) and vasculoprotective (esculoside).
Sédorrhoïde is recommended in certain anal pathologies accompanied by itching and/or pain, in particular in hemorrhoidal crisis.
Dosage of Sedorrhoid suppository
This medication is administered rectally. The recommended dosage is 2 to 3 suppositories per day for a maximum of 7 days.
If the hemorrhoid problem is not resolved after a week, it is best to contact your doctor for medical advice to assess whether continued treatment is necessary or not.
Warnings of the drug Sédorrhoïde against hemorrhoids
This medication should not be used in case of allergy to one of these constituents, in particular benzocaine.
Suppositories are not the preferred form in case of anal fissure or ulcerative colitis.
On the other hand, due to the presence of benzocaine, this medication is likely to alter blood oxygenation by methemoglobinemia (excessive pigmentation of red blood cells).
It is preferable not to use Sédorrhoïde suppositories in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
