Ignatia amara granules is a homeopathic medicine from the Boiron laboratory whose active strain comes from the Saint Ignatius bean, the fruit of a climbing shrub native to the Philippines, very similar to that of the vomica nut, itself used as a strain of another homeopathic medicine: Nux vomica. This bean is said to take its name from the Spanish Basque priest Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, better known as the Jesuit brotherhood.
Like the vomica nut, the Saint Ignatius bean is composed of brucine and strychnine, two toxic substances that have been used for a very long time in certain medicinal formulas. Homeopathy is no exception and relies on its foundations to legitimize its use. Indeed, the main idea of this alternative medicine is based on the law of similarities erected as a true pillar by its founder Samuel Hahnemann who wants the symptoms of a pathology to be treated by substances with similar effects. The infinitesimal dilution process, the second pillar of homeopathy, guarantees the non-toxicity of the finished product. This dilution is designated by the number of CH.
The granule tubes offer the possibility with the same tube to make several doses. By turning the cap of the tube upside down, the desired number of granules are the cap. This strain is also available in dose. It is then taken in one go, in single dose with Ignatia amara dose .
