Dermal Betadine is an iodine-based antiseptic which is used for the antisepsis of superficial and small wounds or burns.
This disinfectant based on povidone iodine (10%) is also used for the local adjunctive treatment of skin conditions and mucous membranes that are infected or at risk of infection, but also for antisepsis of the operating field.
Betadine should not be used in infants under 1 year of age and a doctor’s advice should be sought for children under 30 months of age.
