“Compound
The active ingredient of the drug is aluminum phosphate gel (Aluminii phosphatis liquamen).
100 g of suspension contains 4.5 g of aluminum phosphate gel.
Excipients: sucrose, sodium benzoate, essential oil of mint with reduced menthol content, sodium bicarbonate, purified water.
Dosage
Adults: orally, between meals, 5–15 ml (measured in the measuring cup included in the package), 3–5 times a day. It is recommended to take a double dose at night.
The maximum daily dose should not exceed 100 ml.
Shake vigorously before use.
Action
Gelatum Aluminii phosphorici has an antacid effect on stomach acid.
Indications
Gelatum Aluminii phosphoricum is used for the supportive treatment of symptoms of increased gastric acidity in:
gastroesophageal reflux disease,
gastritis,
peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
Contraindications
When not to use Gelatum Aluminii phosphorici:
if the patient has hypersensitivity to aluminum phosphate or excipients,
if you suffer from chronic renal failure, especially in patients on dialysis.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
constipation,
increased concentration of aluminum in the blood,
decreased phosphate levels (hypophosphatemia) (manifested by loss of appetite, malaise, muscle weakness),
kidney dysfunction
encephalopathy (brain damage leading to behavioral disorders),
hypersensitivity reactions.
Warnings and Precautions
The medicine should not be used without consulting a doctor by children under 6 years of age, people with skeletal disorders, kidney problems and Alzheimer’s disease.
The medicine should not be used for a long time.
The medicine contains sucrose – 15 ml contains 7.350 g of sucrose.
Shelf life after first opening of the medicine: 28 days.
Store at temperatures below 25oC.
Do not refrigerate or freeze.
