Actifed Cold Day and Night is a medicine that belongs to the pharmacological class of decongestants used orally.
It is indicated during colds with sensations of blocked nose , clear nasal discharge , headaches and or fever, in adults over 15 years old.
Actifed Cold tablets all contain paracetamol (analgesic and antipyretic) to which is associated a vasoconstrictor , pseudoephedrine in the Day tablets (white) while it is diphenhydramine hydrochloride (an antihistamine) in the Night tablets (blue).
The active substances of a white tablet are 500 mg paracetamol and 60 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. The other ingredients are: corn starch, povidone, crospovidone, stearic acid, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.
The active substances in one blue tablet are 500 mg paracetamol and 25 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride. The other ingredients are
Core : microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium carboxymethyl starch, hydroxypropylcellulose, pregelatinized corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, magnesium stearate.
Film-coating : hypromellose, propylene glycol, Opaspray M-1F-4315B (hypromellose, titanium dioxide, industrial methylated spirit 74 op, indigotine, purified water).
